Radical Social Work
Roundtable
Wed. March 17th, 7:30pm
New
York City
Folasade Campbell, Crystal DeBoise,
Rolando Bini & Others TBA
The discussion
will be centered on social work over the last 100
years. How is social work viewed by
the people
that we propose to help? How do we
define radical and progressive social work? The
questions we are asking ourselves is how does social
work practice affect the daily life of the poorest
third of humanity? How will the practice affect the
generations to come in the future? What is the
relationship between Social Forum and other
organizing movements to progressive social work?
Grassroots organizers, professionals, and advocates
for systemic change are invited to join us for a
lively symposium on these and other
issues.
