Family Fun Day

Parents in Action is proud to participate in the Family Fun Day. We will have a table at the event where we will distribute our literature and promote our Parenting Classes which are given in English and Spanish, as well as other activities.

Last year ACS had its first Family Unity Day and Parents in Action was the only independent Family Advocacy Organization which participated in the event at Central Park. For information on last year's event, press this Link.

Family Fun Day invites New York City families who have been involved with the child welfare system to escape the stresses of urban life and enjoy a bit of country fun in the city. Reminiscent of an old-fashioned, family-style picnic, this event celebrates recently reunified parents and children and supports those who are dedicated to keeping their families together despite the challenges of their everyday lives. Children and their parents will spend quality time together strengthening family ties as they take part in an afternoon of activities, entertainment and country-themed

By subway: Westside IRT #9 (skip service) to 145th Street. Walk one block west. The A, C, B, D stop at 145th St; from there it is a ten minute walk directly west or you can pick up the bus and it will take you directly into the park.
